Writing scripts for game engines presents unique challenges due to reliance on specific APIs that generic AI often struggles to understand. Haddock tackles this issue by serving as both a search engine and code generator specifically trained for the game development ecosystem. The tool natively supports accurate script generation for popular platforms such as Roblox (using Luau), Unity (using C#), and Unreal Engine.
Haddock’s main selling point lies in its searchable database of AI-generated code. Rather than crafting prompts from scratch and waiting for an AI to reassemble common mechanic logic, you can directly search for code snippets previously generated by others using GPT-4 or Copilot. This saves considerable time, especially for Roblox studio creators or indie developers looking to implement basic movement mechanics, inventory systems, or UI controllers quickly without lengthy experimentation.
How to get started:
- Visit the website and sign up using a Google account to access the search interface for free.
- Select the game engine you use in the settings so the AI can match the correct syntax and libraries.
- Type the mechanic you want to build into the text field (e.g., “C# script for double jump with cooldown”), then browse existing code results or click the generate button to create a new script.
