US spot Bitcoin ETF flows now show a year-to-date surplus of around $800 million as of September 25, 2026, according to SoSoValue data. The positive figure marks a complete turnaround from its lowest point on July 13, when these institutional investment vehicles were trapped at negative $5.8 billion for the year.
More than half of that flow reversal stemmed from policy decisions outside the crypto ecosystem. Nearly $4 billion in inflows arrived after US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced plans to ramp up bond purchases in August 2026.
However, this massive liquidity surge driven by macro sentiment had one primary destination.
BlackRock Dominance Amid Peak Inflows
Over six consecutive trading days, Bitcoin ETFs absorbed a total of $2.84 billion in cash. BlackRock IBIT dominated these inflows by capturing $1.35 billion during the six-day period - accounting for nearly 50% of all US ETF products combined.
On the final day of the streak, Thursday, September 25, BlackRock IBIT logged $163 million out of the $191 million total combined inflows. Thursday’s figure was down 81% compared to Monday’s peak of $999 million, which set a record for the highest single-day inflow of 2026.
This month’s six-day streak ranks as the second-largest historically. By comparison, the streak from November 6-13, 2024, surpassed $4.73 billion, nearly double this week’s inflows. Meanwhile, the streak from February 22-29, 2024, recorded around $2.35 billion.
Has a New Bull Market Begun?
The multi-billion-dollar movement in the ETF market aligns with price trends on spot exchanges. Bitcoin rebounded from below $58,000 in early June to touch $85,000. At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at $83,807, down a slight 0.3% over the past 24 hours but still holding an approximate 8% gain over the last seven days.
The combination of price recovery from June lows and billions in inflows has convinced several analysts that a new bull market cycle is underway. While figures point toward an uptrend, historical precedent from November 2024 shows that multi-billion-dollar records can reverse at any time.
