Bitcoin Gagal Tembus $87.000 Dua Kali dalam Sepekan - Tapi Dogecoin Justru Pimpin Reli Altcoin 3%

Bitcoin Fails to Break $87,000 Twice in a Week - But Dogecoin Leads 3% Altcoin Rally

Bitcoin neared $87,000 during the Oct. 5, 2026 trading session, coming within roughly $500 of its late September peak of $87,400. However, the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization failed to break above resistance and fell back below $86,000.

The failure to breach $87,000 marks the second rally in the past week to stall just below September’s high. Bitcoin previously mounted its first push last Wednesday, surging to $85,500 as softer-than-expected US inflation data fueled mid-week gains.

While Bitcoin stalled, Dogecoin (DOGE) led major altcoins by posting a gain of over 3% to trade near $0.10. Several other altcoins followed in narrower ranges. XRP, BNB, and ZEC each recorded gains between 1% and 2%. On the other hand, assets such as ETH and HYPE rose less than 1%, while Solana (SOL) and Tron (TRX) remained relatively flat.

What Shifted Macro Market Sentiment?

Weaker US jobs data on Friday prompted a shift in sentiment across financial markets. The employment report eased pressure on the Federal Reserve to maintain an aggressive stance on interest rate hikes. Responding to the central bank’s shifting policy trajectory, the 10-year US Treasury yield slipped 2 basis points to 5.25%. Despite the slight dip, yields remain pinned near their highest levels since 2002.

Traditional equities responded positively to easing rate pressures, with the Nasdaq 100 closing at a fresh record high. The upward momentum in US stocks also carried into the Asia-Pacific region. The MSCI Asia-Pacific equity index gained 1%, while Japan’s Nikkei 225 posted a 2.5% advance.

In energy commodities, Brent crude dropped 0.7% to around $101.50 per barrel. The decline in global oil prices came after Saudi Arabia cut its official selling prices for crude exports to Asian customers.

Dollar Strengthens as Euro Hit by Spanish Elections

Global fiat currency dynamics followed their own course. The US dollar strengthened against a basket of major currencies. In contrast, the euro dropped to its lowest level since May 2025 amid reports that Spain is preparing to hold snap general elections.

For crypto market participants, macro indicators are keeping attention squarely on Bitcoin’s technical tests. A daily close above $87,000 would offer the first sign that buyers have the momentum needed to clear September’s peak. Until daily closes break above that ceiling, price action continues to hold within the same range.
