Options trading platform Hypercall recorded $536 million in notional volume throughout September. This single-month turnover accounted for the largest share of the platform’s $592 million cumulative volume since launching on June 1.
This volume milestone centered around a single system overhaul: cross-asset account unification.
A Single Account for Hedging
Hypercall founder Jake Sylvestre highlighted the urgent need to simplify crypto options trading interfaces. He designed a shared hedging account feature to help options instruments attract liquidity and compete directly with perpetual futures markets.
The platform achieved this by routing user hedging orders directly into the Hyperliquid network’s perpetual order books. Traders manage their positions from a single unified account and benefit from integrated portfolio margining backed by USDC collateral.
This combination of features generated high user retention, with reports noting that 93% of pure options trading volume came from repeat users. Real-time platform reliability is supported by volatility data integration from Block Scholes and price feeds from the trade.xyz oracle network.
Weekend Trading for US Stocks
Hypercall’s contract offerings extend beyond major crypto assets like Bitcoin and Ether. The options platform accommodates traditional US equities markets by offering S&P 500 index contracts alongside dominant stocks including Nvidia, Micron, Apple, Microsoft, and Meta.
Options on corporate entities across various industries, including Alibaba, SanDisk, and SpaceX, further expand the roster of instruments for traders looking to hold positions on corporate stock movements.
Hypercall pairs these equity instruments with weekend trading capabilities. This allows traders to hedge positions and manage stock options risk precisely when conventional US exchanges are closed on weekends.
Providing options access beyond regular market hours eliminates the operational downtime that often restricts market participants. Reported by crypto.news.
