Mantle (MNT) price rose 6.6% on August 19, 2026, and is currently trading around $0.455. This increase brings MNT back close to the $0.46 resistance level. Since early August, the price of the layer-2 network token has consistently formed a series of higher lows from the $0.39 level.
On August 13, MNT touched an intraday high of $0.467 before sellers pushed the price back down. Now, the coin’s price is testing the upper limit of its trading range again. Technical indicator data shows buying momentum supporting this movement without being overextended. MNT’s daily RSI is at 58.46, above the signal line of 56.10 but still at a distance from the overbought zone at the 70 level.
The MACD indicator is also positive, although the gap between the lines is relatively narrow. This condition requires additional volume momentum to confirm a breakout. Beyond that, leverage liquidity is currently concentrated above the market price. If buyers push MNT through the resistance, this liquidity pool has the potential to trigger a wave of forced buying from traders holding short positions.
$1 Billion Catalyst from DeFi and Tokenized Stocks
Fundamental data from Nansen’s second-quarter report clarifies the reason behind this accumulation. Total Value Locked (TVL) in the DeFi sector of the Mantle network has surpassed $1 billion. Nansen detailed that Mantle’s TVL growth reached 230% during the first half of 2026. This growth was partly supported by the Aave market on Mantle, which reached $1 billion in just 19 days. Nansen data also noted that total deposits there surpassed $1.45 billion since April.
Mantle has also increased the number of tokenized stock products on its network. The figure rose sharply from 10 products in April to 155 products by the end of June 2026. The list of new products brings assets related to large entities to the Mantle network, including SpaceX and the Franklin Templeton US Equity Index ETF.
Access Limits and Rules of Play
Despite carrying the names of global entities, ownership of tokenized stocks has different rules. Purchasing these assets does not automatically grant direct ownership in the company or its original investment fund, unless the terms and conditions state otherwise. User access to these assets also fully depends on regulations in the jurisdiction of each country.
For traders monitoring MNT, today’s $0.46 level is a defining area. Whether or not this wall is broken will determine if the leverage liquidity above the market can be converted into fuel for a continued rally, or if the price will instead slip back to the lower limit of consolidation.
