Nethermind dan ZEUS Serahkan Audit Kode ke AI Anthropic - Temukan 29.000 Celah Tanpa Manusia

Nethermind and ZEUS Turn to Anthropic AI for Code Audits - Spotting 29,000 Flaws Without Humans

Ethereum execution client developer Nethermind and Bitcoin Lightning wallet provider ZEUS have submitted their code to an artificial intelligence security scanning tool from Anthropic. The OSS Scanner program, launched on October 8, uses the Claude Mythos AI model to automatically uncover open-source software vulnerabilities before hackers can exploit them.

Unlike conventional security audits that rely on manual reviews before reports are submitted, OSS Scanner delivers automated findings directly to repository maintainers. Anthropic’s model brings a solid track record: over the past six months, their artificial intelligence detected more than 29,000 potential security vulnerabilities across various prominent open-source projects.

From Ethereum’s Execution Layer to the Lightning Network

Nethermind initiated the process through GitHub pull request number 38. The submission aims to scan their client software repository, the system responsible for processing transactions and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Ethereum network.

In the Bitcoin ecosystem, ZEUS requested an automated audit for its mobile application and various code modules. The submitted components include systems handling user payments, private key management, and connections to the Lightning Network. VirtEngine, a decentralized cloud computing platform built on the Cosmos SDK, was also recorded submitting a similar scanning request to Anthropic.

Testing on Critical Findings

Anthropic tested the reliability of its detection tool through live assessments. Test reports recorded a finding validity rate of 88% across 97 high-risk and critical-risk findings spread across 48 open-source projects.

The arrival of a detection tool capable of directly alerting repository maintainers cuts down the turnaround time required by traditional methods. From execution clients and crypto wallets to cloud platforms, projects are now relying on machine speed to patch vulnerabilities before exploits happen.
