Robinhood Chain is not even three months old since its official launch in July 2026, but it has already broken into the top 10 blockchains by Total Value Locked (TVL). The surge in locked asset value demands technical adjustments to accommodate growing trading volumes. Currently, the network is evaluating a new transaction ordering system called Priority Gas Auctions (PGA) - a technology developed by Arbitrum.
Robinhood Chain’s current processing system still follows a sequential pattern based on a first-come, first-served principle. The default mechanism orders every incoming transaction according to its queue arrival time. While this flat model provides fairness for regular users, it limits professional traders who rely on high execution speed.
Wall Street-Style Fast Lane
The PGA system addresses speed bottlenecks by replacing the older Timeboost mechanism. Through a paid gas auction system, traders have the option to pay additional fees to jump to the front of the queue and be processed faster by the system.
The paid scheme is intentionally designed to emulate the High-Frequency Trading infrastructure commonly used on Wall Street. Institutional traders gain assurance that their trading positions are executed immediately via a dedicated lane, rather than relying purely on order arrival time.
Closing the MEV Exploitation Loophole
Implementing gas auctions brings structural protection for network users. The paid model aims to prevent Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) exploitation, which often leads to losses in transaction queues. MEV exploitation occurs when intermediaries insert new orders or reorder block sequences to profit from execution delays.
Breaking into the top TVL rankings requires the platform to reorganize its transaction traffic. The Arbitrum technology trial will determine whether Robinhood Chain can accommodate professional-grade transactions alongside retail users.
