Solana Rombak Validator Demi Finalitas 150 Milidetik - Tapi Siap-siap Lihat Grafik Transaksi Anjlok

Solana Overhauls Validators for 150-Millisecond Finality - But Prepare for Transaction Charts to Plunge

The Solana network officially activated the Alpenglow upgrade on its public developer network (devnet) on September 25, 2026. The launch comes just one day after testing phases in the testnet environment were completed. The Alpenglow update brings a measurable performance target: slashing transaction finality time - the decisive moment when a transaction is confirmed and irreversible - from an average of 12.8 seconds to just 150 milliseconds.

That new settlement window will make transaction wait times feel virtually instantaneous for users.

Changing How Validators Approve Blocks

The 150-millisecond speed is achieved by overhauling how validator nodes communicate. Over the past few years, Solana’s core architecture required validators to record their voting consensus directly into the block queue as regular transactions. Alpenglow eliminates that legacy block-recording routine, switching instead to a direct vote exchange method among active validators.

Removing vote records from blocks triggers a visual effect that is bound to ripple across analytics aggregators. Because node communication traffic will no longer be counted as regular transactions, charts tracking Solana’s total transaction volume will appear to drop sharply. This apparent shrinkage is purely the result of how internal data is logged by the engine, as actual user activity on the network has not decreased at all.

Zero Code Migration Guarantee

Low-level engine updates often cause hesitation among developers worried about having to rewrite their application code. Addressing those concerns, core development firm Anza and Solana Foundation representatives confirmed that this upgrade was deliberately designed to maintain compatibility with legacy infrastructure.

Both entities stated that all decentralized applications whose functions are limited to submitting transactions and reading balances require no code migration whatsoever. With that guarantee, retail wallet users will be able to enjoy 150-millisecond settlement when Alpenglow hits the mainnet, without having to wait for developers to overhaul their favorite apps.
