Two developments unfolded in the GameFi sector today. Splinterlands players overhauled the rules of play by winning a governance vote to implement a new bracket system in Modern ranked mode. The move by the popular blockchain card game community stemmed from demands to bring a new standard of fairness and a more balanced match structure to the arena.
The implementation of this bracket system was decided directly by players. This policy places the community in a decisive role to shape the competitive ecosystem without relying entirely on developers.
Active Games on TON Network Rise 190%
As Splinterlands restructured internal rules, GameFi network infrastructure also saw notable movement. Tracking data from PlayToEarn shows the TON network leading the blockchain gaming ecosystem with a 190.06% surge in the number of active games.
The pace of TON’s development expansion left competing networks behind. The alternative blockchain category included in the Other group took second place with a 64.66% increase. Avalanche followed in third after recording a 50.17% growth in active games. These figures capture an influx of game developers beginning to launch their products on the TON ecosystem.
Player Rotation Drives Surge in P2E Scores
Player migration was also reflected in the daily activity of specific game titles. Over the past 24 hours, six game titles recorded Play-to-Earn (P2E) activity score surges exceeding five hundred percent.
NowlAge took the top spot with a daily score surge reaching 663.64%. Limit Break followed in second place after recording a 662.07% increase. Player rotation lifted IdleCyber into third with a 590.91% score growth.
Player movement continued to spread across other game titles. Gangster Arena took fourth place with a 554.55% activity surge, followed by Wemix at 550%. The game CrossTheAges rounded out the top lineup with a 530.77% gain.
Daily data from the @PlayToEarn account on X captured the rapid pace of Web3 player migration. Daily P2E score movements above 500% demonstrate that crypto gamers are actively hopping between games in search of new competitive systems and economic designs.
