PERPTools has secured a total of $8 million in token funding across two consecutive investment rounds. The initial round, led by DEXTools Ventures and Orderly Network, closed in December 2025, just one month after fundraising began. A subsequent seed round in early 2026 brought in prominent investors including BigBrain Holdings, NEAR, Animoca Brands, Sfermion, and Shima Capital. Ahead of its official launch, the decentralized perpetual futures platform logged up to $240 million in trading volume during its private beta phase.
PERPTools built its core infrastructure on Orderly Network’s liquidity layer, linking it directly to the DEXTools analytics platform. According to CEO Evgen Tokarev, this integration targets the roughly 30 million traders already active on DEXTools. Users can now discover markets, analyze data, and open trading positions directly without leaving the unified ecosystem.
Trading Bots from Text Prompts
Three core PERPTools products are currently fully operational and serving users. The first is a standard perpetual exchange (perp DEX) offering leverage, cross-margin capabilities, and non-custodial trading access. The second product, dubbed AI Arena, enables users to build their own autonomous trading agents simply by typing natural language prompts - a setup process that takes only about five minutes.
The AI agents within AI Arena can be used not only for personal trading, but can also be traded or rented out to other users depositing USDC capital. The platform displays and tracks bot performance by pulling verified on-chain profit and loss (P&L) data over a 30-day trading window. Meanwhile, the third product, Tap Prediction, offers a prediction market based on perpetual price movements. Traders can place bets with as little as $0.10 to pursue potential payouts of up to 25x. The Tap Prediction service has already accumulated a total prize pool exceeding $1 million and generated real revenue well ahead of the platform’s scheduled token launch.
Decentralized Markets Begin Catching Up to Centralized Exchanges
CoinGecko data shows that the open interest share of decentralized perp DEXs grew from 3.6% in early 2025 to 13.5% in early 2026. The notional value of open interest across top perp DEXs surged from $1.19 billion in early 2024 to $14.99 billion by late January 2026. Currently, decentralized perp DEXs collectively process consistent daily volume above $10 billion, while the real-world asset (RWA) perpetual DEX sector recorded $365 billion in total transaction volume in the third quarter of 2026.
Even as decentralized market volume surges, incumbent centralized exchanges like Binance and OKX retain their dominance, controlling 33% and 15% of total global perpetual market share, respectively. Against this competitive backdrop, PERPTools has scheduled its Token Generation Event (TGE) for the fourth quarter of 2026, though the company has yet to announce a specific token launch date.
