Three blockchain networks are currently competing for the crypto gaming traffic throne. Data from PlayToEarn’s P2E Score metric reveals that the Base network surged sharply by 101.72%. TON follows closely with an 88.9% increase, followed by WAX, which grew by 61.71%. This surge in network metrics is driven by a lineup of game titles whose values skyrocketed by hundreds of percent within just 24 hours.
Base’s surge past the 100% mark highlights the high level of gaming activity within Coinbase’s Layer-2 ecosystem. This flow of players and transactions moves in tandem with Base’s rising institutional adoption. Meanwhile, TON has further solidified its position at the top. TON’s advantage stems from its integration with Telegram - a fast track that directly connects crypto games with the messaging app’s hundreds of millions of users.
Hundreds of Percent Surges Across the Board
The wave of adoption across these networks is directly reflected in their games. In a single day, IMVU led with a 700% leap, followed by Tap Labubu at 691.67% and HeroVerse at 690.91%. This streak of gains extended to other titles. Chromatic Souls gained 630.77%, Ton Raids rose 470%, and Play Sipher recorded a 423.81% increase. Coin Races and Pika Moon rounded out the list with gains of 423.08% and 410.71%, respectively.
On another PlayToEarn list, Katana Inu surged even further with a 741.67% increase, ahead of Nakamoto Games in second place at 611.76%. Games like TapFantasy, DEFIT, Wizzwoods, GIGACHAD BAT, and ReneVerse collectively sat in the 400% to 575% range. The list was wrapped up by Momoguro NFT, which secured a 382.35% gain.
Market attention is also focused on mixed price movements among popular titles. Bull Arena, built on Solana, bagged a 126.81% increase, while Dragonary rose 75.37%. However, this inflow of capital did not lift all games, as the Big Time token slid 14.30% even as the rest of the market posted gains.
Earning Money When Screens Go Dark
Amid the buzz of high-octane gaming, another trend is quietly dominating search lists: idle games. Names like Immortal Rising 2, Playnow.Life, Sol Siege, Angry Dynomites, and Olderfall now make up the top five trending idle games.
The model they offer breaks away from the strict demands of older games. These games are designed to run automatically, ensuring assets are still processed and points accumulate even when the player’s phone is turned off.
The integration of games into daily messaging apps and the rise of this automated gaming model highlight a shift in crypto players’ priorities. They are starting to reject mechanics that demand hours of screen time. Developers are now competing to attract players during gaps in their daily routines or even while they sleep - those who do not demand too much time and effort are receiving the largest capital injections.
