BlackRock IBIT Tarik $209 Juta dalam Sehari, Akhiri 11 Sesi Beruntun Arus Keluar

BlackRock’s IBIT Draws $209 Million in a Day, Ending 11-Session Outflow Streak

After weeks of serving as a major source of selling pressure, asset management giant BlackRock has finally reversed course. The firm’s flagship spot Bitcoin ETF, the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), recorded $209.4 million in net inflows on July 7 - halting an 11-session streak that had previously drained roughly $2.2 billion in capital. For a market haunted by massive redemptions throughout June, this single day felt like a welcome breath of relief.

From June’s Bleeding to July’s Turning Point

Throughout June, US spot Bitcoin ETFs lost roughly $4.5 billion in net capital, with IBIT alone accounting for approximately 75% of those withdrawals. That made last month one of the worst outflow periods since Bitcoin ETF products were launched. Consequently, the early July reversal - complemented by Fidelity FBTC’s $61.5 million contribution around the same time - has been read by many analysts as a sign that institutional appetite never truly vanished, but had merely stepped aside waiting for clarity.

Why ETF Flows Serve as a Barometer

Spot ETFs are critical not just because of their sheer size, but because they provide the most transparent window into institutional investor behavior. When funds flow in, it means asset managers and major investors are adding to their positions; when funds flow out, the opposite occurs. Two consecutive days of inflows have bolstered sentiment even as Bitcoin continues to hover in the low $60,000s after briefly slipping below $60,000.

The remaining question is whether this marks the beginning of a broader trend recovery or merely a technical rebound in an otherwise fragile market. A single day of inflows does not establish a definitive trend - but it serves as a reminder that the narrative of “institutions fleeing Bitcoin” was drawn far too soon.
