Her passing was confirmed directly by authorities from the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner. The incident has raised questions across the crypto community, as prior to her death, Chuang had made public allegations of mistreatment during her tenure at Hack VC. She had even stated her intention to release evidence backing up those claims.
The California Highway Patrol responded to a call on southbound Interstate 15 near Field Road on August 24. At the scene, officers found Chuang and pronounced her dead on the spot.
