Justin Drake Ajak Kripto Masuk Mode Bunker - Zcash Jawab dengan Pelindung Kuantum untuk 11,9 Juta Koin

Justin Drake Urges Crypto to Enter Bunker Mode - Zcash Responds with Quantum Shield for 11.9 Million Coins

Zakura engineer Roman Akhtariev announced plans to add post-quantum signature operational instructions, or opcodes, to the Zcash protocol. The development team aims to have this new protective technology ready for implementation by January 2027.

This protocol upgrade prioritizes transactions in Zcash’s transparent pool. Current data shows the transparent pool holds roughly 11.96 million ZEC, accounting for 70.4% of the total 16.98 million ZEC coins circulating in the market.

Responding to the Bunker Mode Call

This security move comes shortly after a viral warning from Justin Drake, a researcher at the Ethereum Foundation. Drake urged the crypto community to begin preparing for “bunker mode,” highlighting rapid advances in artificial intelligence (AI) that are proving increasingly adept at finding mathematical vulnerabilities in current cryptographic systems.

To mitigate the risk of future computational breaches, the new Zcash system will transition away from legacy methods. The network will utilize hash-based signatures, such as Winternitz One-Time Signatures (WOTS). This new method is designed to replace the protocol’s reliance on elliptic curve cryptography, a standard cryptographic technique currently used across various networks that is considered vulnerable to decryption by quantum computers in the future.

Additional Privacy and Migration Certainty

Zakura developers are also expanding protections to user privacy by introducing Private Information Retrieval (PIR) technology to the Vizor wallet. This feature is designed to allow users to check their coin balances without leaking wallet address correlations to the server.

January 2027 serves as a benchmark target for completion, but the development team emphasized that users do not need to take any action yet. To date, the team has not set an official date for the hard fork activation on the mainnet, nor has it established a mandatory migration schedule. The network is gradually building a new wall of defense, recognizing that future threats of asset theft will no longer rely on human error, but on intelligent code-breaking computation.
