Kraken dan Ledger Rombak Aturan Main xStocks - Kini Ratusan Saham Tokenisasi Bisa Disimpan di Hardware Wallet

Kraken and Ledger Shake Up xStocks - Hundreds of Tokenized Stocks Can Now Be Stored on Hardware Wallets

Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, officially partnered with hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger on September 24, 2026. The integration brings xStocks tokenized stock services into Ledger’s self-custody features. Eligible customers gain the option to buy, sell, and transfer tokenized shares while retaining control of their private keys on Ledger Wallet.

Asset support under the planned service covers hundreds of tokens. These tokens represent equity ownership in publicly traded US companies and various business entities across international stock markets.

On-Device Transaction Transparency

The system behind the integration is built using the Ledger Device Management Kit. Ledger incorporates a Clear Signing feature that displays complete order details on the hardware screen. The device’s physical capabilities require users to verify every detail of their tokenized stock activity on screen before granting final approval.

Kraken exchange customers using Ledger hardware can now fund accounts, withdraw assets, and sign supported transactions directly within the Kraken app. In turn, Payward Services enters the hardware wallet ecosystem as the primary provider for crypto buying, selling, and swapping services for Ledger Wallet users.

Focus on Europe and Institutional Financial Clients

The initial rollout of payment options to access xStocks services targets Continental Europe and the UK. Customers in the initial launch zones can use debit cards and local bank transfers, while additional payment methods and operational regions will be rolled out in the future.

Kraken’s parent company is also preparing to onboard Ledger Enterprise clients, which include banks and financial technology firms. Payward will directly connect institutional clients with trading facilities, asset custody, payment processing, and account funding services.

Bridging the Gap Between Exchanges and Hardware Wallets

Payward Co-CEO David Ripley highlighted the divide separating wallet ecosystems and crypto trading. “Self-custody and exchange access shouldn’t feel like separate experiences and ecosystems,” Ripley said regarding the partnership.

The official announcement of the collaboration between Payward and Ledger did not specify exact release dates for all planned features. For crypto users, the integration offers a pathway to manage conventional stock equity in self-custody without relying on centralized custodial vaults. Reported by crypto.news.
