Solana-based memecoin launchpad platform Pump.fun has once again moved treasury assets to a crypto exchange. On September 27, 2026, the platform entity transferred 47,994 SOL tokens, equivalent to $5.83 million, directly to a Kraken deposit address. Blockchain analytics service Lookonchain framed this latest transfer as a continuation of the memecoin creator’s routine treasury liquidation schedule.
Transfer Trail to a Single Exchange
This late-September transfer continues a deposit routine that has been underway since last year. Pump.fun has favored Kraken as its destination exchange for executing large-scale token transfers. On-chain data shows an initial deposit of 65,122 SOL worth $11 million arrived in February 2025. The platform then sent an additional 100,628 SOL valued at $8.32 million in May 2025.
Transfer volumes climbed the following month. Records from June 2025 show a transfer of 132,180 SOL worth $20.87 million. The cumulative total of these phased transfers pushed Pump.fun funds sent to Kraken past $660 million by the end of June 2025.
Today’s fresh deposit of $5.83 million pushes the estimated liquidation total even higher. Lookonchain analysts estimate that Pump.fun’s cumulative SOL treasury sales have now reached 5,236,623 tokens. Based on an average sale price of $162 per token, the total value offloaded by the platform stands at $848 million.
What We Still Don’t Know From On-Chain Data
While the blockchain ledger records the origin and destination of funds, it leaves an information gap once tokens enter an exchange. On-chain tracking can only pinpoint when tokens arrive at Kraken’s gateway, without the ability to inspect order books. The public has no clear indication of when the team behind the wallet executes sales for those 47,994 SOL tokens - whether they are sold immediately into the market or held in anticipation of better bids.
Despite facing the potential distribution of tens of thousands of new tokens, SOL’s price action shows sufficient market absorption. Data portal CoinGecko shows the token trading around $121 on September 27. The asset recorded a 1% gain over the past 24 hours and posted an 11.6% price increase across the last seven days.
