Samsung Buka Jalur USDC untuk 82 Juta Ponsel AS - Penerima di 60 Negara Tak Perlu Sentuh Kripto

Samsung Opens USDC Transfers for 82 Million US Phones - Recipients in 60 Countries Never Need to Touch Crypto

Starting in the final week of October 2026, smartphones in the United States will have the capability to send money directly across borders. Samsung Electronics announced the rollout of a USDC stablecoin transfer feature through its native Samsung Wallet app for 82 million eligible Galaxy devices.

Samsung’s new service waives transfer fees when users send USDC to various compatible crypto wallets. The token transfers settle within seconds directly from the sender’s device without any additional deductions along the way.

The focal point of this service update extends beyond wallet-to-wallet transfers. Galaxy users gain an international remittance rail directly connected to recipient bank accounts across more than 60 countries. Recipients receive their final payout in pure local fiat currency in their home country without having to own crypto assets, set up dedicated wallets, or install separate digital management applications.

Two Layers of Supporting Infrastructure

The scale of global payouts requires a solid operational foundation behind the scenes. Samsung teamed up with Bastion to provide payment infrastructure while serving as a licensed custodian under US jurisdiction. Coinbase steps in as the official sub-custodian to handle fund custody security backed by Coinbase Prime Vault protection.

To achieve real-time transaction standards, Solana and Sui serve as technical blockchain infrastructure partners. Both network providers support high-speed transaction processing to ensure the smooth flow of user remittances.

Samsung abstracts this complex cross-chain process beneath the mobile user interface. Built-in biometric authentication on each eligible Galaxy device takes over security duties. Users simply use fingerprint scans or other standard biometrics to approve final transfer orders.

Moving Toward Physical Retail Checkouts

The launch of the USDC service includes fiat on-ramps and off-ramps to facilitate two-way fund flows. The availability of conversion access provides a foundation for Samsung’s next expansion: considering the rollout of tap-to-pay systems for in-store purchases and a variety of online merchant transactions in the future.

Integrating crypto directly into the hardware layer cuts through the operational complexity of web3. Smartphone owners rely on blockchain processing speeds when sending digital dollars, while recipients receive ready-to-use cash - a real-world bridge connecting crypto adoption with everyday financial transactions.
