Tom Lee Sebut Rasio Ini 'Sinyal Kebangkitan Kripto' - Tapi Satu Plafon Masih Menghadang Ethereum

Tom Lee Calls This Ratio a ‘Crypto Revival Signal’ - But One Ceiling Still Blocks Ethereum

Tom Lee has once again caught the market’s attention. The Fundstrat co-founder and BitMine chairman dubbed the Ethereum-to-Bitcoin (ETH/BTC) ratio a ‘crypto revival signal’ in a July 13 post, just ahead of his keynote appearance at WebX 2026 Tokyo. But beneath the optimism lies a single number that has repeatedly refused to break.

An Improving Ratio - Up to a Point

The ETH/BTC ratio has recently climbed toward 0.02858 after rebounding from an early June low near 0.026. Live pricing briefly put it around 0.0282, approaching the resistance zone. At the time of reporting, ETH was trading around $1,800 while Bitcoin stood near $63,700.

Chart-wise, the ratio has been printing higher lows since early June - a healthy sign of recovery. The problem is that it remains capped by a ceiling around 0.0286, a level where multiple prior recovery attempts have stalled. This is the ‘single level’ marking the difference between a mere bounce and a genuine trend reversal.

The Bigger Picture Remains Mixed

Enthusiasm needs to be tempered with reality. ETH/BTC remains lower than it was three months ago despite the July rebound. Throughout 2026, Ether has even dropped more sharply than Bitcoin - driven by stronger Bitcoin ETF demand, weaker Ethereum inflows, and fierce competition from rival networks.

Signals for an ‘altcoin season’ have not truly flashed either. While Bitcoin dominance has cooled to around 56.2% according to CoinGecko, and the Altcoin Season Index has improved to roughly 58 - the reading still sits well below the 75 threshold that defines a full-blown altcoin season.

A Vested Interest Behind the Optimism

Certain metrics do favor Ethereum. US spot Ethereum ETFs logged net inflows in early July after weeks of pressure - seeing roughly $14.9 million on July 1 led by BlackRock’s ETHA, though a single positive day does not erase June’s heavy outflows. Ethereum’s staking ratio has also surpassed 33%, taking liquid supply off the market.

Yet there is one crucial detail readers should keep in mind: BitMine, Tom Lee’s own firm, holds an Ethereum treasury of 5.74 million ETH - representing roughly 4.8% of Ethereum’s total supply. When someone with a position that massive calls ETH a ‘revival signal,’ it pays to take the forecast with a grain of salt. His thesis may well be right, but the 0.0286 level on the chart tells a far more honest story about who is currently in control. Until that ceiling gives way, the promised revival remains a hope rather than a confirmation.
