Abraxas Capital Pindahkan Kripto $203 Juta ke Bursa - Tepat Saat Bitcoin Tertekan Konflik dan Suku Bunga

Abraxas Capital Transfers $203M in Crypto to Exchanges - Just as Bitcoin Faces Pressure from Conflict and Interest Rates

Asset management firm Abraxas Capital has transferred institutional-scale crypto assets to two major exchanges. The crypto-focused hedge fund deposited 2,211 BTC worth $143.88 million to Kraken, while also depositing 30,825 ETH worth $59.19 million to Binance.

According to tracking from on-chain analytics account @lookonchain on X, all transactions were completed within an eight-hour window on July 23, 2026. Total asset movement during the single session reached $203 million. In the crypto market, inflows or deposits to centralized exchanges are typically viewed as preparation to sell, in contrast to cold storage withdrawals that signal accumulation. Deposits of this magnitude carry enough weight to exert downward pressure on short-term price action.

ETF Buyers Move in the Opposite Direction

Abraxas’s deposits coincided with contrasting sentiment from other institutional players. Data from the same day showed that spot Bitcoin ETF products still recorded net inflows of 1,064 BTC, valued at $69.28 million.

A parallel trend appeared in spot Ethereum ETFs, which attracted an additional 37,753 ETH worth $71.88 million within a single day. Inflows from ETF investors provide resilience for exchange order books to absorb part of the potential selling pressure from Abraxas without triggering an immediate price collapse.

Even so, the tug-of-war between crypto buyers and sellers is not the sole factor dictating market trajectory. Macroeconomic sentiment is bringing external pressures directly to exchange trading desks.

Two Major Headwinds from Outside Crypto

The massive deposit arrived as Bitcoin remained pinned below $65,000. Price resistance has been primarily driven by a deteriorating investment climate following escalating tensions between Iran and the United States. Geopolitical strain spurred a surge in global oil prices, prompting market participants to pivot away from risk assets.

The outlook for US monetary policy presents additional challenges. Markets are pricing in a 40% probability that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates again. Investor concerns were reflected as 18-month bond yields climbed to their highest levels.

The $203 million asset transfer by Abraxas Capital adds to today’s list of practical market headwinds. Heavy selling during a challenging macro environment will test the true strength of the price floor supported by ETF inflows. Securing liquidity amid global tensions may be a rational move for a hedge fund, but the cost is borne by the broader crypto market’s resilience. Source: @lookonchain on X.
