Standard Chartered-backed financial firm Anchorpoint Financial officially entered a partnership with the Solana Foundation on October 30, 2026. The collaboration aims to bring HKDAP, a regulated Hong Kong Dollar-denominated stablecoin, to the Solana public blockchain to expand adoption into the retail segment.
The move marks a shift in HKDAP’s distribution model. Through this partnership, native HKDAP minting and redemption will be available directly on the Solana network to serve everyday payments, tokenized real-world asset (RWA) trading, and high-speed transactions.
From B2B2C Rails to Public Wallets
The partnership with the Solana Foundation marks Anchorpoint’s first collaboration with a public blockchain foundation. Previously, HKDAP was distributed exclusively through institutional business-to-business-to-consumer (B2B2C) channels subject to strict wallet verification requirements.
Anchorpoint and the Solana Foundation are now preparing to onboard corporate partners alongside consumer application developers. The integration is designed to grant the wider public direct access to HKDAP and various tokenized financial instruments without cumbersome procedures.
Lu Yin, Head of APAC at the Solana Foundation, stated that the integration makes Hong Kong Dollar-denominated digital currency more accessible to consumer applications. According to Yin, Solana’s settlement speed advantages and global developer network served as key drivers behind the new integration.
Anchorpoint management had been preparing for this transition days prior to the announcement. On October 26, 2026, Anchorpoint CEO Dominic Maffei explained that the company was fine-tuning its distribution infrastructure and consumer education before opening retail access. As an initial foundation, crypto exchange HashKey Exchange had already joined in August 2026 as the first official distributor.
A $4.9 Billion RWA Footprint and Solana’s Retail Wave
Solana is no stranger to tokenized financial instruments. On-chain data indicates that the Solana network already hosts approximately $4.9 billion in tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), held by more than 835,000 RWA asset holders.
The HKDAP expansion further complements the push toward retail payment adoption within the Solana ecosystem. Recently, Samsung Wallet also announced plans to roll out USDC stablecoin transfers to 82 million Galaxy devices across the United States, backed by Solana and Sui infrastructure.
For the crypto ecosystem, the arrival of native HKDAP introduces a non-US dollar fiat liquidity option operating directly on a high-speed public network. For users, such integrations bring regulated financial instruments closer to everyday digital wallets without having to rely on closed institutional banking rails.
