PAC Kripto Fairshake Kuasai 4 Kursi Pemilu AS - Tapi Dana $2 Juta Mereka Kandas oleh Satu Kandidat Florida

Crypto PAC Fairshake Secures 4 US Election Seats - But Their $2 Million Fund Fails Against One Florida Candidate

Crypto PAC Fairshake and its two affiliates, Protect Progress and Defend American Jobs, recently spent around $3.6 million on the August 19, 2026, primary elections. These campaign funds were distributed across three regions: Alaska, Florida, and Wyoming. Out of five candidates funded by the digital asset industry, four successfully won their races.

Lois Frankel, a Democratic candidate from Florida’s 23rd district, advanced after receiving over $150,000 in support. Much larger funds flowed to Alaska to support Nick Begich, who received a combined $1.5 million. Sydney Gruters in Florida’s 16th district and Harriet Hageman for the Wyoming Senate seat also emerged victorious. These election results prompted an official statement from Fairshake, declaring that they are just getting started on building the largest pro-crypto Congress in history.

Why Did the $2 Million Fund Fail in Florida-24?

The sole defeat occurred in the district that cost the most. Protect Progress spent over $2 million on negative ad campaigns to stop Oliver Gilbert in Florida’s 24th district. The million-dollar airwaves blitz ultimately failed. Gilbert still won the election, securing 34.4% of the local vote.

Gilbert’s victory was followed by a sharp counterattack. He labeled the PAC’s campaign maneuvers as the work of crypto scammers trying to buy the Democratic primary. He did not hesitate to criticize the donors, calling them Trump’s tech billionaire buddies. Tensions escalated when the lobbying group’s campaign methods were made public.

The ads produced by Protect Progress were accused of using dirty tactics, specifically using mock headlines styled after the Miami Herald newspaper. The fake headlines were designed to mislead voters regarding Gilbert’s policy positions. The fact that Gilbert still won proves that this dark campaign strategy failed on the ground.

Awaiting the Fate of the CLARITY Bill

The political agenda of the pro-crypto camp is now put on hold. Both chambers of the United States Congress are currently in recess and will resume sessions in September. The upcoming session will be a crucial moment, as the Senate has scheduled a cloture motion process for the long-delayed CLARITY Act.

Today’s campaign money serves as preparation for November 2026. The upcoming midterm elections could shift the majority in Congress from the Republicans to the Democrats. This shift in the political landscape will directly impact the future of digital asset regulations, including the CLARITY Bill. Money can win primary elections, but passing laws remains in the hands of the parliamentary majority. Reported by Cointelegraph.
