Goldman Sachs reported an $86.5 million exposure across five spot XRP ETFs in its second-quarter regulatory filings, a sharp jump from zero in the prior quarter. Institutional inflows bolstered exchange capital flows, complementing data from seven US spot XRP ETFs that have absorbed $1.57 billion in net inflows as of August 24, 2026.
Beyond existing spot ETF products, two new filings landed on the SEC’s desk on August 27 and 28, 2026. The documents register three alternative XRP-related instruments: the ProShares XRP ETF, the ProShares Ultra XRP ETF (UXRP), and the Cyber Hornet S&P 500 and XRP 75/25 Strategy ETF.
Not an Ordinary Fund
UXRP takes the derivatives route. Launched in July 2025, the product targets twice the daily return of the Bloomberg XRP Index without holding physical tokens. Meanwhile, the registration for the standard, unleveraged ProShares XRP ETF remains ‘pending’ across various fund-tracking platforms.
Meanwhile, the Cyber Hornet product has operated since January 30, 2026, using a blended portfolio approach. The fund splits its allocation with 75% into the S&P 500 stock index and holds the remaining 25% in XRP. Its diversification strategy has yielded approximately $550,000 in total assets under management with a net asset value of $22.08 as of August 27.
What the Market Is Watching
Across exchanges, market participants reacted aggressively to the underlying coin’s upward momentum. A 44% rally in XRP’s price pushed the leverage ratio on Binance to 0.213 - its highest level in seven months. Open interest for XRP futures also crossed $3.4 billion, a strong indicator that traders continue to build long positions. In a different crypto sector that same week, exchange token Hyperliquid also hit a new all-time high of $86.
That mounting capital and speculation now face two key calendar events. On the circulating supply side, Ripple is scheduled to release 1 billion XRP from escrow wallets on September 1, following its monthly routine where unabsorbed tokens are locked back into a new escrow. In the regulatory arena, the United States Senate is preparing to hold a cloture vote concerning the fate of XRP within the next two weeks.
For retail market participants, institutional movements point to a clear agenda. Well-capitalized players are positioning their pieces now, preparing for Washington’s gavel before deploying even larger sums of capital. Reported by crypto.news.
