PayPal Resmi Nyalakan PYUSD di Jaringan Polygon - Bisnis Kini Bisa Bayar, Tukar, dan Cairkan Lewat Satu Pintu

PayPal Officially Launches Native PYUSD on Polygon - Businesses Can Now Pay, Swap, and Settle via Single Gateway

PayPal USD (PYUSD) is officially available natively on the Polygon network via the Polygon Open Money Stack, giving businesses direct access to the regulated stablecoin alongside payments, compliance, and fiat conversion services in a single package. Cointelegraph also reported via its official X account that this integration enables regulated cross-border payments through a single integration point.

According to Polygon Labs, the integration eliminates the need for businesses to stitch together separate providers for stablecoin issuance, fiat on/off-ramps, compliance, and payment infrastructure. Companies already processing payments on Polygon can now receive funds from cards, bank accounts, or exchange balances, settle cross-border transactions in PYUSD, and convert them back into local currency - all through a single integration.

A Single Gateway for All: Pay, Swap, Cash Out

Polygon Labs claims its network has settled over $2.6 trillion - approximately IDR 42,400 trillion - in stablecoin transactions to date, and is already used by companies such as Revolut and Stripe. PYUSD itself is issued by Paxos under a national trust charter overseen by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), making it one of the largest US dollar stablecoins issued by a federally regulated entity. “Stablecoins are only as useful as where they can go and what they can do once they get there,” said Polygon Labs CEO Marc Boiron.

PYUSD Follows in the Footsteps of Mastercard and Hyundai on Polygon

This launch continues PYUSD’s expansion trend after PayPal and MoonPay rolled out the PYUSDx platform in February, following Mastercard’s move in June to add PYUSD alongside five other regulated dollar stablecoins to its settlement network across various blockchains, including Polygon. Previously, Hyundai Card also used USDT on the Avalanche network for its first corporate remittance pilot.

The emerging pattern is increasingly clear: global payment giants are no longer merely experimenting with stablecoins, but are actively racing to build real-world payment rails on top of them. For users in Indonesia who frequently deal with cross-border transfer fees and delays, such competition could ultimately drive down costs and accelerate fund settlements - provided local regulations pave the way.
