Harga PI Terpuruk, Pi Network Simpan Satu Kartu Bertanggal 22 Juli - Cukupkah untuk Membalik Arah?

PI Price Slumps, Pi Network Holds a July 22 Card - Is It Enough to Reverse the Trend?

Pi Network’s PI token recently went through an extended downturn, but managed to hold above $0.073 and was trading around $0.0765 on Thursday (July 16). Amid sluggish chart action, the project has set a key calendar date that is now drawing traders’ attention: the Protocol v25 upgrade on July 22.

The question is not merely what the upgrade brings, but whether this dated catalyst is strong enough to lift PI from its recent lows - or just a brief pause before selling pressure resumes.

What Protocol v25 Brings

Announced on July 15, Protocol v25 is scheduled to go live on the network on July 22, focusing on stability, reliability, and more efficient, privacy-focused smart contracts. Beneath the technical jargon, the upgrade introduces BN254 cryptography and Poseidon hashing - tools that enable developers to build zero-knowledge applications capable of processing sensitive information without placing raw data on public records.

“On July 22, Pi is scheduled to upgrade to Protocol v25, which mainly focuses on enhancing network stability and reliability, as well as supporting new capabilities for more efficient and privacy-preserving smart contracts,” wrote the Pi Core Team on X. By supporting private contract execution, the project hopes the upgrade will expand the types of applications that can be built while improving contract efficiency as the ecosystem grows.

The Charts Have Yet to Agree with the Optimism

The challenge is that technical data has not yet confirmed a sustained reversal. On the 4-hour chart, PI is forming a symmetrical triangle pattern after dropping from around $0.10 in early July - a descending resistance line now meets an ascending support line, narrowing the price toward the apex. Such setups typically precede a sharp move, either upward or downward.

Other indicators paint a mixed picture. The 4-hour Aroon shows Aroon Up at 28.57% and Aroon Down at 0% - signaling that trend strength remains weak despite easing selling pressure. Meanwhile, the daily Chaikin Money Flow hovers around -0.20, indicating that capital outflows still exceed inflows even as buyers attempt to defend the latest support level. Broader market conditions offer little support: Bitcoin is consolidating near $64,000 and total crypto market cap dropped 1.67%, dampening risk appetite for smaller tokens like PI.

What to Watch Ahead of July 22

Ultimately, the impact of Protocol v25 on PI demand will not be determined by the announcement itself, but by what happens afterward - how many developers build, how fast applications grow, and how the network performs post-activation. The upgrade offers traders a fresh moment to watch, but price charts remind that a single calendar date may not be enough to reverse an already weakened trend.
