85% Validator Setujui Pembaruan XRPL v3.2.0 - Tapi Puluhan Node Terancam Diblokir 29 Juli Nanti

85% of Validators Approve XRPL v3.2.0 Upgrade - But Dozens of Nodes Face Being Blocked on July 29

The XRP Ledger version 3.2.0 software update has reached 66% adoption among validators, with 99 validators now running the latest release. Data from XRPL Explorer shows that 481 nodes have installed the update, representing 57.33% of tracked network capacity.

The focus of this release is the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment proposal, which has crossed a crucial threshold. The proposal garnered 85.71% voting support, with 30 validators in favor versus five against. This support above 80% triggered the official activation schedule set for July 29, 2026, at 09:57 UTC. This majority support must be sustained above 80% until the moment of activation arrives. If approval drops below that threshold, the two-week countdown will reset from the beginning.

What Happens If Operators Delay the Migration

Although the activation schedule is set, 42 validators - representing 28% of the total validator pool - continue to run the older version 3.1.3.

The 3.2.0 update changes the core identity of the XRP Ledger software. Proposal XLS-0095 renames the primary software from “rippled” to “xrpld”. This change requires node operators to update their base configuration files from rippled.cfg to xrpld.cfg.

An XRPL validator known as Vet issued an advisory urging node operators to upgrade their systems ahead of the July 29 deadline to maintain infrastructure compatibility. Operators still running older versions will immediately face “amendment-blocked” status once the new rules take effect. Blocked nodes lose the ability to determine the valid state of the ledger.

Technical Maintenance and AI Payments

The fixCleanup3_2_0 proposal bundles various network maintenance packages. These changes include accuracy and rounding fixes for Single Asset Vaults, along with maintenance for the Lending Protocol, Permissioned DEX, Multi-Purpose Tokens, and Permissioned Domains.

Elsewhere, the XRP Ledger network has begun handling a new type of transaction volume. The Ripple-backed t54.ai project reported that XRPL has processed over 1 million AI-driven payments via the x402 protocol. In response to this high activity, t54.ai launched an AI Hub facility for autonomous agents.

The blocking penalties facing dozens of nodes late to update their software prove one thing: participating in decentralized infrastructure demands strict adherence to consensus deadlines, not just keeping hardware running.
