Perusahaan Kripto Buka 1.241 Lowongan di September - Kenapa Pelamar Malah Berkurang?

Crypto Companies Post 1,241 Job Openings in September - Why Are Applicants Declining?

Data from CryptoJobsList shows crypto companies posted 1,241 new job openings in September 2026. Recruitment numbers climbed from 886 positions in August and 382 positions in July. September marked the most active month for job availability year-to-date - more than doubling the 573 positions listed in January.

The surge in job openings diverged sharply from applicant numbers. While companies aggressively sought workers, job applications dropped for consecutive months: from 25,700 in July to 24,631 in August, down to nearly 20,000 by the end of September.

Fierce Competition for Specialized Talent

CryptoJobsList views this divergence between job postings and applicants as an indicator of intense competition to secure specialized professionals. Demand for specialists was spread across 125 hiring companies in September. The volume of recruiting entities rose from 107 in July, after dipping to 77 in August.

The finance sector accounted for the largest share of labor demand, followed by engineering and trading roles. Other fields ranking in the top ten categories included stablecoin product expertise, artificial intelligence, system security, and legal compliance.

Expertise in developing the Bitcoin ecosystem ranked first among employers’ blockchain technical criteria. Skills in managing Ethereum and Solana networks rounded out the top three sought-after capabilities.

Preparing for Fourth-Quarter Expansion

This year’s hiring activity stands in stark contrast to the crypto job market in 2025. Throughout the July-to-September period last year, job postings remained flat without meaningful growth. Recruitment peaked in 2025 with just 373 postings recorded in October.

The dominant demand for strategic functions such as finance, engineering, and trading highlights the industry’s direction. Crypto firms are assembling their teams to execute business expansion plans in the fourth quarter of 2026.

For job seekers, the current hiring trend underscores one primary selection criterion. Companies are eager to hire new staff, but opportunities are specifically tailored for candidates with niche technical expertise.
