Robinhood Chain has only just officially launched, but its numbers are already turning heads across the DeFi space. According to DeFiLlama data, daily Uniswap trading volume on the Arbitrum-based network surpassed $500 million on July 8 - just eight days after launch. That figure places Robinhood Chain second in 24-hour Uniswap volume, trailing only Ethereum mainnet.
The network’s total value locked (TVL) also surged 159% in 24 hours to over $106 million, with cumulative wallet addresses nearing 200,000. Robinhood Chain launched with full support for Uniswap v2, v3, v4, and UniswapX from day one, with trading activity concentrated in Wrapped Ether, meme coins, and tokenized stocks such as NVDA, AAPL, and GOOG.
$50 Million Inflow from Ethena in a Single Transaction
The TVL surge largely stems from institutional inflows rather than retail. Around $90 million of the network’s TVL is locked in the Morpho lending protocol, which supports an annual yield of around 7% via Robinhood Earn for USDG deposits. The biggest catalyst: Ethena injected $50 million into a single USDG vault managed by Steakhouse Financial on Morpho in a single transaction.
Not Just Meme Coins - Nvidia to Google Stocks Also Featured
Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev has continued pushing the narrative of Robinhood Chain as the “best chain for tokenized real-world assets”, while acknowledging the flourishing demand for meme coins. An integration with Pump.fun that allows trading Robinhood Chain tokens directly with SOL also helped drive activity around the meme coin CASHCAT. Uniswap’s governance token, UNI, climbed up to 14% alongside the volume surge. The network also processes blocks every 100 milliseconds - far faster than Ethereum’s 12 seconds - and is waiving gas fees for the first 90 days.
Yet behind these impressive figures lies a rarely highlighted vulnerability: Robinhood Chain’s TVL remains heavily concentrated in a single protocol, Morpho. If institutional capital of that scale were to be withdrawn, the network’s headline metrics could plunge as fast as they surged. US regulators have also signaled tighter scrutiny on tokenized debt securities starting January 2026 - a reminder that rapid growth rarely comes without commensurate risks.
