Pi Network has announced its inaugural Ecosystem Summit, scheduled to take place online from November 17 to 19, 2026. The three-day event is designed to bring together the Core Team and application developers.

Hackathon Agenda and Stablecoin Exploration
The Core Team has outlined several agenda items for the three-day conference, including developer tool demonstrations, decentralized application showcases, and platform update presentations. Alongside these activities, Pi Network also plans to launch a new hackathon competition for software developers.
Pi Network is also exploring a partnership with Open Standard, the development entity behind OUSD. The potential collaboration focuses on exploring stablecoin services and designing reward systems for users within the Pi ecosystem.
Protocol 28 Update and Network Claims
At the infrastructure level, the network set an October 13 deadline for node operators to install the Protocol 28 software upgrade. The update supports batching smart contract updates and resolving pending transaction backlogs across the network.
Pi Network claims its user base is now supported by more than 60 million Pioneers. Of that figure, 18.1 million users have reportedly completed identity verification through KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures.
A reported 420,000 active nodes operate the network alongside 300 applications currently running on the Mainnet. These operational metrics serve as key highlights for the Core Team heading into the developer gathering this November.
