Ben Hill Griffin Stadium will feature a new look starting this 2026 football season. Ripple has signed a multi-year deal with the University of Florida athletic department, securing placement for the XRP logo on the turf of the Florida Gators’ home field.
The XRP branding will not stop at midfield. The company’s assets will also be featured across digital properties and event signage in Gainesville. While the contract value was not disclosed publicly, Ripple included an educational clause. The company committed to funding financial and technology literacy programs - combining traditional finance and digital assets - for student-athletes and the broader Florida campus community.
UF Athletics Director Scott Stricklin noted that the partnership aligns with campus tradition. “Florida has a long history of embracing innovation and technology,” he said.
From Basketball Jerseys to the Football Field
The Florida partnership is a continuation of Ripple’s earlier expansion into collegiate sports. The company previously inked a deal with the University of Kansas Jayhawks, which placed the XRP logo on the school’s basketball jerseys. Shifting focus from the basketball arena to the football field signals a broadening of the college audience targeted by Ripple across the United States.
This out-of-home marketing effort moves in parallel with product expansion. Ripple recently launched its RLUSD stablecoin, an asset designed to broaden the reach of the company’s payments, custody, and treasury services.
Flat Market Flows
As news from Florida spread, XRP’s price saw little reaction. The token was trading at $1.41, up just 0.6% over a 24-hour period. XRP’s recent performance shows contrasting figures: posting a 34.9% gain over the last 30 days, while still down 49.8% year-over-year.
Activity in the institutional sector was similarly subdued. Data from September 4 indicated that inflows for spot XRP ETF products were essentially flat. Nevertheless, cumulative net inflows for these funds held steady around $1.6 billion. The presence of the XRP logo in a college stadium appears to be Ripple’s move to build long-term brand recall rather than reacting to daily market sentiment.
