Just two months after launching on July 1, 2026, Robinhood Chain has begun generating higher daily fees than both Base and Ethereum mainnet. Applications running on the US retail trading platform’s newcomer blockchain logged daily revenue surpassing Ethereum over the past 24 hours.
A surge in ecosystem token prices has placed Robinhood Chain front and center for traders. One of the largest contributors to network fees is Pons, a token launchpad on the chain. Daily transactions on the Pons launchpad spiked so dramatically that this single protocol generated higher revenue than most standalone blockchain networks.
Memecoins Alongside Real-World Stocks
The driving force behind the high revenue volume stems from the diverse mix of traded assets. Tokens circulating within the Robinhood Chain ecosystem range widely, spanning infrastructure coins like Pons, AI, and Delta, to a lineup of memecoins such as Cashcat and Hmm. Beyond pure digital assets, the network also hosts tokenized real-world equities.
The real-world asset (RWA) trend has expanded rapidly within Robinhood’s onchain environment through a pooled liquidity mechanism. Much of this growth is notably fueled by pairing memecoins directly with tokenized stocks. Users can trade pure crypto assets side-by-side with traditional equities without app boundary barriers.
This seamless integration is backed by top leadership. Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev has consistently voiced open support for the platform’s onchain expansion, carrying forward the mission of ownership - an effort to democratize asset ownership access for retail investors.
Signs of a CeDeFi Transition
Robinhood’s string of milestones was highlighted in an opinion and analysis piece by VALR’s CMO, rather than solely from independent aggregated data. This industry perspective emphasizes that a retail platform’s move into onchain infrastructure marks a shift toward the CeDeFi era - the convergence of centralized financial institutions with decentralized architecture.
A cycle trend analysis on crypto.news also underscored the emergence of CeDeFi. Robinhood’s move to connect its services with the Lighter liquidity protocol aligns with VALR’s integration using the Hyperliquid exchange. This pattern signals that institutions are establishing direct pipelines into onchain liquidity engines.
Beyond the daily revenue comparisons, traditional retail trading platforms building their own blockspace reflects an industry reality: institutional capital is moving to capture retail transaction volume, capturing fees directly on whatever assets are trending.
