Strategy Lepas 4,5 Juta Saham MSTR Demi 4.603 Bitcoin - Akhiri Puasa Belanja Dua Bulan

Strategy Offloads 4.5 Million MSTR Shares for 4,603 Bitcoin - Ending Two-Month Buying Pause

Strategy acquired 4,603 Bitcoin worth $369.7 million between August 24 and August 30, 2026. The corporate purchase, its first in two months, was disclosed in an official filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) dated August 31. The average purchase price stood at $80,318 per coin, inclusive of fees and expenses. This transaction ends a buying pause dating back to mid-June 2026, when the firm last bought 1,587 BTC for $100 million.

The acquisition of 4,603 BTC exceeds the volume of asset sales conducted by the company last month. From late July to early August, Strategy sold 3,328 BTC across two separate periods - 1,638 BTC followed by 1,690 BTC. This week’s purchase fully covers those sales, adding a net 1,275 BTC to its treasury.

Capital Raised from Share Sales

The latest coin acquisition was funded through the company’s at-the-market stock offering program. Strategy sold 4,531,421 shares of MSTR, generating net proceeds of $602.8 million after commissions. From those funds, $369.7 million was allocated specifically to purchase Bitcoin.

The remaining sales proceeds were allocated toward two other corporate needs. Strategy set aside $30 million for its U.S. dollar cash reserves and used $151.8 million to repurchase STRC preferred stock. This week’s SEC filing noted that the company issued no series STRC, STRF, STRK, or STRD preferred securities during the current offering schedule.

Remaining Financial Capacity

Strategy maintains substantial remaining financing capacity. Its current offering documents still allow the company to sell up to $19.09 billion worth of MSTR shares on the open market. Meanwhile, its preferred stock buyback authorization retains a $364.8 million ceiling. The company also holds a separate $1 billion authorization specifically for common stock buybacks - a facility that saw no activity on the market this week.

The addition of 4,603 coins lifts the firm’s total holdings from 840,447 BTC to 845,050 BTC - a new all-time high. The historical cost basis across its entire coin stack averages $75,412 per coin, representing an aggregate investment of $63.73 billion.

Michael Saylor’s “We’re Back” tweet on Sunday now has official figures behind it. However, as the filing was published, Bitcoin was trading around $78,023 - 2.9% below the company’s $80,318 purchase cost. The immediate impact of this gap dragged MSTR shares down 7.4% to $127.31 in Monday pre-market trading compared to Friday’s closing price. Reported by crypto.news.
