Gaming blockchain Ronin has distributed over $40,000 worth of RON tokens to developers. According to a report by games.gg on July 27, 2026, Axie Infinity creator Sky Mavis channeled these funds through a new initiative dubbed Proof of Distribution.
The payout is part of Ronin’s ongoing strategy to rebuild its ecosystem following the $625 million exploit in 2022. Sky Mavis is leveraging the program to attract more developer talent to its core focus area: Web3 gaming.
Why This System Differs from Traditional Grants
The Proof of Distribution program does not function like traditional grant programs that provide upfront capital. Instead, it operates strictly as an on-chain incentive mechanism that ties fund disbursements to real-world usage and distribution metrics.
