Strategy added 811 Bitcoin worth $65.5 million to its holdings between October 26 and November 1, 2026. A Form 8-K disclosure released on November 2, 2026, shows that the company completed the purchase at an average price of $80,846 per coin.
This official move follows hints of reserve additions posted by Michael Saylor on November 1, when Bitcoin’s market price briefly slipped to around $77,800. The addition of 811 new coins brings Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings to 849,327 BTC. Total acquisition costs across the entire portfolio reached $64.08 billion including commissions, placing the company’s average cost basis at $75,451 per coin.
However, this week’s financial filings revealed an unusual detail: Strategy’s largest cash allocation was not directed toward buying Bitcoin, but toward purchasing its own stock.
Where Most of the Cash Was Allocated
To fund the Bitcoin purchases, Strategy sold 1,178,552 shares of MSTR common stock through an at-the-market (ATM) offering facility. This move raised approximately $164 million in net cash: $65.5 million was used to pay for Bitcoin, while $98.5 million was added to its US dollar cash balance.
At the same time, Strategy allocated $208.2 million in cash to buy back 2,092,035 shares of STRC preferred stock. The funds spent on repurchasing these preferred shares were more than three times the Bitcoin purchase budget during the same week.
As of November 1, 2026, the company’s balance sheet showed a USD Reserve of $4.79 billion and $132.7 million in cash. In addition, management still holds an authorization balance of $748.6 million to repurchase its digital credit securities.
Strive Also Expands Reserves During Correction
Strategy was not alone in boosting its reserves in early November 2026. Strive, an asset treasury firm, also spent around $10 million in capital to secure 124 BTC at an average price above $80,500 per coin.
The acquisition lifted Strive’s total Bitcoin holdings to 43,124 BTC, with remaining cash reserves hovering around $490.4 million.
For market participants, these combined transactions show that corporate accumulation remains active as prices trade above the $80,000 level. At the same time, Strategy’s approach highlights how public companies are beginning to balance crypto asset purchases with equity capital management in traditional markets.
