Vulcan Forged Unifies All Games into a Single App - Weekly Rewards Doubled Following Community Vote

For years, players in the Vulcan Forged ecosystem had to switch between multiple apps to play games, trade NFTs, track quests, and claim rewards - each with its own system and individual reward tokens. This week, the studio aims to end that hassle with a major launch: VulcanX Everything, or VX for short.

One App for All Activities

VX is designed as a unified gateway bringing together all Vulcan Forged games, asset trading, quests, NFT collections, and reward claims into a single integrated ecosystem. Instead of a fragmented experience, players can now “play, compete, trade, and earn” without switching platforms. The core mechanic revolves around a questline titled “Quests for Chests” that yields Shards, which determine a player’s standing on the weekly leaderboard to compete for a share of the PYR token rewards. For those seeking full access to chest rewards, a Frenzy Pass is available for 30 PYR with a 30-day validity - though all games remain playable without this pass.

PYR Becomes the Ecosystem’s Sole “Fuel”

An equally significant change lies in the tokenomics. The secondary token V will be fully absorbed into PYR, leaving PYR as the sole primary asset powering the entire economy across Vulcan Forged’s Elysium blockchain. The PYR supply is capped at a maximum of 70 million, featuring deflationary mechanics where transaction fees, in-game actions, purchases, and quest completions burn a portion of tokens or route them to reward pools. This approach represents the studio’s bet on creating scarcity that scales with player activity, while streamlining a tokenomics model that had previously felt fragmented.

What sets VX’s debut week apart is direct community involvement: after CEO Jamie Thomson conducted a community survey, the outcome prompted doubling the first week’s PYR rewards from the original plan. This July also marks the end of Vulcan Forged’s land staking program, signaling a new era where incentives are no longer scattered across multiple separate initiatives, but instead centralized through one app and a single token.

For long-time Vulcan Forged players, this transition also means adapting to new rules: assets and rewards once spread across various games must now be converted or integrated into the VX framework. The studio appears mindful that a change of this scale could trigger confusion, leveraging the community survey and the decision to double debut-week rewards as a way to ease friction while demonstrating goodwill toward its loyal player base.

This consolidation step serves as an interesting indicator of where GameFi is heading after the 2021 era of issuing new tokens for every minor feature - now moving in reverse, unifying everything to provide clearer utility for everyday players.
