Dana Privat Abu Dhabi Bawa $75 Juta ke Tiga Blockchain - Coinbase Langsung Beli untuk Kas Perusahaan

Abu Dhabi Private Fund Brings $75 Million to Three Blockchains - Coinbase Invests Directly for Corporate Balance Sheet

Mubadala Capital has brought $75 million in capital commitments from traditional and digital investors to the Base, Solana, and Sui networks. This initial capital flows into the Mubadala Capital Alternative Solutions Fund under an evergreen investment strategy. The launch is facilitated by on-chain infrastructure provider KAIO.

The move stands out not just for its size, but because of who stepped in as an early buyer.

More Than Just an Infrastructure Provider

Coinbase has taken an undisclosed ownership stake in the product, placing the direct investment on its corporate balance sheet. The crypto exchange is acting purely as an investor, marking a departure from its traditional role of merely providing wallet services or technical facilities for institutional players.

Investment access to the fund is strictly restricted to qualified institutions and accredited investors. Mubadala Capital, the asset management subsidiary of Abu Dhabi-based Mubadala Investment Company, currently manages over $600 billion in assets with an alternative portfolio reaching $60 billion. This investment vehicle targets opportunities across private equity, direct corporate investments, and credit instruments.

For Coinbase, this stake builds on its previous moves. In April, the firm rolled out its tokenized credit strategy CUSHY across Ethereum, Solana, and Base to target public digital credit. The stake in the Mubadala fund now expands its reach into private market assets.

Cross-Chain Administration Engine

KAIO is tasked with managing the entire tokenization framework, investor onboarding, and administrative operations across the three blockchain networks. The partnership between the Abu Dhabi investment firm and KAIO was established in December 2025.

The KAIO platform previously hosted on-chain products for major financial players such as BlackRock, Brevan Howard, Hamilton Lane, and Nomura’s Laser Digital. Tether also led an $8 million funding round for KAIO in April, bringing its total fundraising to $19 million.

This initiative further expands the growing ranks of traditional institutions shifting onto public blockchains. State Street and Galaxy launched their SWEEP product on Solana in May. Securitize also packaged AAA-rated collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) onto Solana, while Ethena lined up an allocation of up to $250 million.

What Remains Unknown

While the initial commitment has been made public, the fund’s detailed structure remains behind closed doors. As of press time, there are no details on the minimum investment threshold for clients. The organizers have withheld information regarding management fee rates, withdrawal terms, and the exact number of participating parties. While institutional capital inflows are becoming increasingly visible, the specific transaction terms remain private.
