Celestia Surges 19% Above $0.70 Following 50% Rally - Network Test Crosses 3 Terabits per Second

The Celestia (TIA) token surged 19% past the $0.70 level during trading on Oct. 16, 2026. This price jump pushed TIA out of a prolonged downtrend that had weighed on its market performance. On Binance’s TIA/USDT trading pair, the price stood at $0.7019 at 15:54 UTC after briefly touching an intraday high of $0.7233.

Analyst Rekt Capital stated that TIA has confirmed a breakout from its Macro Accumulation Range. This breakout signals a decisive shift in price structure, bringing TIA’s total rally to 50% since the token was first added to his altcoin watchlist.

Current market prices are hovering roughly 60% above the 50-day moving average (MA) at $0.4394. The 50-day MA itself continues to hold above the 200-day MA at $0.3820, reinforcing distance from the long-term moving average.

Daily and Weekly Indicator Momentum

Daily technical indicators point to dominant buying pressure. The daily MACD line reached 0.0504, moving above the 0.0368 signal line. This positioning is supported by a positive histogram reading of 0.0136 above the zero line, confirming that upward trend momentum remains actively underway in the spot market.

The weekly timeframe also reflects aligned technical signals. The weekly Relative Strength Index (RSI) climbed to 64.98, trading above the 46.80 smoothing line. Because the RSI reading has not yet touched the overbought threshold of 70, room for price expansion remains unconstrained by overbought conditions. Concurrently, the weekly Supertrend indicator flashed a bullish signal via a green line at $0.2706.

Fibre Capacity Test Reaches 3.07 Tbps

Beyond price chart analysis, network fundamental developments also achieved a major technical milestone. On Oct. 1, Celestia Labs reported that its Fibre test maintained an average throughput of 3.07 terabits per second (Tbps) across 120 validators. This high-speed data throughput performance was sustained throughout a 143-second benchmark test.

The Fibre testing probes the limits of data throughput capacity on large-scale blockchain architectures. This initiative directly follows the mamo-1 testnet roadmap from April 2025, which targeted processing 128MB data blocks every six seconds.

Risk Thresholds and Validation Levels

While the technical structure leans bullish, market participants should still monitor key boundary levels in the event of a price correction. Immediate technical support lies in the $0.58 to $0.60 range. Meanwhile, the weekly low at $0.505 serves as a crucial validation level to determine whether the bullish reversal remains intact or risks invalidation.

For market participants, breaking above the $0.70 level offers critical confirmation following prolonged downward pressure. However, disciplined monitoring of nearby support levels remains key before making fresh accumulation decisions.
