Arus Masuk Bitcoin ke AS Berbalik Positif Sejak 2022 - Institusi Serap 53.200 BTC Saat Ritel Terus Menjual

US Bitcoin Inflows Turn Positive Since 2022 - Institutions Absorb 53,200 BTC as Retail Continues Selling

The flow of Bitcoin capital into the United States has reversed course. For the first time since 2022, net Bitcoin inflows to US entities turned positive over the 12-month period ending June 2026. A Chainalysis report titled ‘North America: Inside the Growth of Agentic Commerce’ revealed the primary catalyst: large institutional transactions absorbed 53,200 BTC, soaking up supply offloaded by retail investors.

The two investor cohorts are moving in opposite directions.

Who Is Selling, Who Is Absorbing

Net inflows were led by large institutional transactions exceeding $10 million, which contributed a total of 53,200 BTC to US entities. Conversely, retail transactions under $10,000 continued to post net outflows from US exchanges and entities. This pattern indicates that selling pressure from retail investors is being absorbed directly by aggressive institutional capital.

Institutional absorption has kept the US market resilient amid global market pressures. The US crypto economy was recorded at $2.78 trillion, dipping just 2.2% during the crypto market downturn. That figure preserved the US position as the world’s largest national crypto market. Traditional financial instruments have further reinforced this trend: the launch of spot Bitcoin ETFs in January 2024 has steadily expanded the US share of global Bitcoin transaction volume.

Debt Concerns and Global Market Divergence

Institutional interest in accumulating Bitcoin is rooted in deeper macroeconomic concerns. BlackRock’s Head of Digital Assets Research, Will Su, told researchers that demand for Bitcoin as a monetary alternative remains strong due to concerns over surging government debt and public spending. This perspective positions Bitcoin not merely as a speculative commodity, but as a hedge against fiscal risk.

The Chainalysis report also highlighted a stark structural divide between the US market and the rest of the world. Crypto activity in the US is heavily concentrated on Bitcoin as a scarce store of value. Conversely, users outside the US overwhelmingly adopt dollar-backed stablecoins. The catalyst is access barriers: many users globally face limited access to the traditional US banking system, turning stablecoins into an essential solution for holding dollar liquidity.

Key Takeaways for Investors

Capital flow dynamics over the past 12 months offer a clear picture of the market’s shifting power balance. While retail investors continue to offload holdings amid short-term doubt, institutional capital is capitalizing on that liquidity to build positions in the scarce asset. For market participants, monitoring the direction of large-scale capital accumulation often provides greater clarity than getting swept up in daily panic.
