Eks-Petinggi Franklin Templeton Pimpin Perusahaan Pemegang 3 Miliar Token ENA - Tepat Usai Ethena Rilis Aplikasi Baru

Former Franklin Templeton Exec to Lead Firm Holding 3 Billion ENA Tokens - Right After Ethena Launches New App

StablecoinX, a digital asset investment firm listed on Nasdaq under the ticker USDE, has officially appointed Christopher Jensen as its new CEO. He replaces Ted Chen, who is stepping up to serve as chairman of the company’s board of directors.

Jensen brings an extensive track record from the institutional investment management industry. Prior to joining StablecoinX, he served as a portfolio manager and director of digital asset research at Franklin Templeton, a role he held since the investment firm launched its dedicated digital assets division in 2018.

Jensen’s connection to the asset he will now oversee is not new. Franklin Templeton, through its venture capital arm, participated in Ethena’s seed funding round. This involvement gave Jensen exposure to the Ethena protocol long before today’s appointment.

Controlling 20% of Circulating Supply

Jensen’s new role places him in charge of one of the largest single-token crypto treasuries. StablecoinX holds approximately 3.03 billion ENA tokens, representing roughly 20% of ENA’s total circulating supply and making the publicly traded company the largest corporate holder of Ethena’s governance token.

Ethena operates as the protocol behind USDe, a synthetic dollar that currently ranks fifth in the global stablecoin market. Data from DefiLlama shows the circulating value of this synthetic dollar is nearing $4.4 billion.

The leadership change at StablecoinX comes alongside an expansion of the protocol’s utility. Jensen’s appointment comes just a week after Ethena launched its newest product, Ethena Pay. The platform is a self-custodial wallet application that allows users to save, transfer, and spend USDe in everyday transactions.

Where Does ENA’s Price Stand Now?

On crypto exchanges, the ENA token has shown mixed price action. Price data from CoinGecko indicates ENA is still down roughly 20% year-to-date.

Nevertheless, the token’s short-term performance points toward a recovery. ENA has rallied more than 80% over the past month, with the monthly surge pushing its price to around $0.16 per token.

For the Ethena ecosystem, placing a fifth of the total token supply in the hands of a firm now led by a former Franklin Templeton executive brings institutional-grade governance. The appointment reinforces the company’s efforts to secure the value of its holdings just as USDe utility expands through Ethena Pay.
