Total crypto market capitalization rose to reach 2,269,664,133,491 US dollars. A rising market cap does not mean the market is improving for everyone - it is about exactly where the money goes, and more importantly, where it does not.
Where is the New Money Flowing?
Price movements over the past day show that the increase in market value was not enjoyed evenly. Market breadth data recorded the share of green coins at just 42.8%. On the other hand, the median asset price change remained stuck exactly at the 0.0% level. This condition indicates that most coins did not experience significant price movements, while inflows of new funds were concentrated only on a handful of major assets.
Bearish Trend Under the Surface
Behind this calmness, the market structure actually still shows a weakening trend. Out of all the assets analyzed through technical indicators, as many as 51 assets remain in a bearish trend. Capital concentration is also increasingly favoring the largest asset, as seen in Bitcoin dominance strengthening to reach 56.3%. This strengthening dominance suggests that market participants prefer to seek shelter in large-cap assets rather than speculating on altcoins.
Increased Research While the Market Stands Still
Interestingly, the price stillness did not dampen investor interest in monitoring the situation. The second Analytical Radar recorded a 21.6% increase in activity above the weekly baseline, signaling a surge in information searches. Conversely, the fourth Analytical Radar actually fell 2.8% from the weekly baseline, making it the only weakening indicator. This difference in activity shows that market participants are busy studying the direction of the next move, rather than immediately executing transactions on exchanges.
New liquidity may be flowing in for a small portion of large players, but for the majority of other asset holders, today’s market offers nothing but silence.
