Ripple Masuk Klub Elite Coinbase, Google, dan Visa - XRP Disiapkan Jadi Alat Bayar Para Agen AI

Ripple Joins Elite Group with Coinbase, Google, and Visa - XRP Positioned for AI Agent Payments

Ripple has secured a seat at an elite table. The company behind XRP has officially joined the x402 Foundation as a Premier Member, an initiative building open payment standards for AI agents - placing it alongside tech and financial giants including Coinbase, Circle, Google, Mastercard, Visa, and Amazon Web Services.

Ripple brings more than just its brand to the table: its core assets, XRP and the RLUSD stablecoin. Both are positioned as settlement assets in an emerging landscape where AI agents, rather than humans, autonomously execute transactions.

When Software Needs to Pay Software

According to Ripple, AI agents are increasingly handling transaction processes. This evolution creates a unique need: a payment infrastructure capable of transferring value at the speed AI systems exchange information. Imagine autonomous programs capable of ordering, negotiating, and paying for other services automatically, without the delays of traditional bank transfers.

This is where the XRP Ledger comes into play. Ripple noted that developments on its network provide developers with tools to support what it terms agentic payments via the x402 protocol, enabling AI-powered applications to settle transactions using XRP and RLUSD. The combination of blockchain settlement and AI agents, Ripple says, has the potential to allow software systems to execute financial transactions without relying on traditional payment rails.

Foundations Laid Months in Advance

This move did not happen overnight. In June, Ripple rolled out the XRPL AI Starter Kit to help developers integrate AI applications with the XRP Ledger, complete with support for agentic payments using XRP and RLUSD. Following that, Ripple-backed t54.ai launched the XRPL AI Hub alongside Ripple developers and the XRPL Foundation, providing resources and infrastructure for AI builders on the network.

The results are already becoming apparent. Since the rollout of x402 support, network activity has climbed - the XRPL Foundation reported that the XRP Ledger has processed over 1 million agentic transactions, signaling genuine developer adoption rather than mere promises on paper.

Meanwhile, the x402 Foundation now operates on more neutral ground. The Linux Foundation announced its operational launch after Coinbase completed its contribution of the x402 protocol, which will be managed under an open governance model rather than controlled by a single corporate entity. Beyond the Premier Members, the foundation includes General Members such as Injective, Near Foundation, Polygon Labs, and World Liberty Financial, along with Associate Members including the Cardano Foundation and BSV Association.

What This Means for XRP Holders

Ripple joining the ranks of companies like Visa and Amazon signals that XRP is actively positioning itself in the emerging intersection of crypto and artificial intelligence. However, it is worth noting that much of the current announcement centers around technical foundations and membership status rather than an immediate surge in demand. For investors, the real question is not just the prestige of the foundation’s member roster, but how quickly those millions of agentic transactions translate into sustained, everyday market utility.
