A total of $526.7 million in net capital flowed into the US spot Bitcoin ETF market on Monday, October 19, 2026. According to transaction data from Farside Investors, this marked the largest daily inflow in nearly a month of trading, surpassing all daily performances since September 22, 2026, when the market absorbed $714.7 million in net capital.
The capital flow reversal at the start of the week immediately snapped the downward trend seen late the previous week. During Friday’s trading session, this cohort of spot-based investment products shed $82.4 million in net capital. While Monday’s surge brought substantial gains, the underlying dynamics revealed a market heavily dependent on a single player.
IBIT Offsets Pressure from Fidelity and Grayscale
BlackRock served as the primary pillar lifting total net inflows into the green. BlackRock’s ETF product, the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), recorded $665.2 million in capital inflows in a single day of trading on Monday. The volume attracted by IBIT even exceeded the total net intake of the entire US spot Bitcoin ETF market on the same day.
The gap between IBIT’s inflows and the overall market total occurred as two other major fund managers moved in the opposite direction. Fidelity and Grayscale both recorded net outflows that partially offset BlackRock’s haul. Redemptions from Fidelity and Grayscale held back the market’s total net gain, settling it at $526.7 million.
Farside Investors noted that no other ETF products outside those three fund managers saw significant net capital movements. Trading activity at the start of the week was essentially centered on BlackRock’s capital absorption alongside redemptions from Fidelity and Grayscale products.
Two Weeks of Outflows Yet to Be Erased
Prior to Monday’s rebound, the group of US Bitcoin ETFs posted net outflows for two consecutive weeks. Redemption pressure sustained throughout the first half of the month left an unrecovered cash flow deficit on the cumulative balance sheet.
Farside Investors data shows that despite a more than half-billion-dollar injection at the start of the week, the overall position of US Bitcoin ETFs for October 2026 remains in the negative zone by around $88 million. Monday’s $526.7 million inflow narrowed the redemption deficit, but was not enough to lift the monthly balance out of the red.
For market watchers tracking institutional liquidity, Monday’s action offers a two-sided narrative. Buying appetite via BlackRock’s IBIT demonstrates that hundreds of millions of dollars in capital can flood back within a single day. At the same time, an October balance that remains negative by around $88 million is a reminder that a full recovery from the previous two-week outflow trend will require consistent inflows over the coming days.
