Sparkassen Buka Layanan Kripto untuk 50 Juta Nasabah - Empat Aset Masuk ke Bank Terbesar Eropa

Sparkassen Opens Crypto Trading to 50 Million Customers - Four Assets Added to Europe’s Largest Bank

Around 50 million customers in Germany can now buy and sell crypto assets directly through their bank accounts. Sparkassen, Europe’s largest banking network, has officially launched a trading service covering Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana. The addition marks one of the most expansive retail crypto rollouts in Europe to date.

Sparkassen’s move embeds digital assets into the daily banking routines of the German public. Historically, crypto asset ownership existed separate from the conventional banking system. The introduction of these four coins into the Sparkassen ecosystem marks a new chapter for mainstream crypto adoption across Europe’s traditional banking sector.

Four Assets Added to Bank Services

In its initial launch, Sparkassen is offering four assets: Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana. These four assets can be traded directly by tens of millions of account holders in Germany. With roughly 50 million customers, the scale of Sparkassen’s network gives the service a reach that surpasses other retail crypto providers in Europe.

By enabling direct trading, the German banking network is responding to shifting market demand. Traditional banking institutions are no longer keeping digital asset transactions outside their purview, but instead providing them as an integrated feature inside official bank accounts.

A Parallel Push from BlackRock

Sparkassen’s move aligns with actions taken by global financial institutions. During the same period, BlackRock has reportedly been pushing asset tokenization into banking and the traditional financial system. BlackRock’s push and Sparkassen’s service launch highlight a growing trend of convergence between traditional finance (TradFi) and the crypto sector.

This integration operates on two distinct levels. Sparkassen provides direct buy-and-sell access to retail customers, while BlackRock promotes asset tokenization across banking infrastructure and financial networks. Both developments illustrate how conventional banks are beginning to absorb crypto instruments into standard banking operations.

For tens of millions of customers in Germany, the availability of Sparkassen’s service turns digital asset transactions into routine banking activities. Bringing Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana to Europe’s largest banking network shows that crypto adoption has now become part of commercial banking operations.
