Trader Pintar Borong SOL $9,74 Juta Setelah Dua Tahun Diam - Saat Paus Lain Justru Rugi $16 Juta di Friendtech

Smart Trader Buys $9.74M in SOL After Two-Year Inactivity - As Another Whale Suffers $16M Loss on Friendtech

A smart money trader bought 95,928 SOL worth $9.74 million after remaining inactive for two full years. On-chain analytics platform Lookonchain tracked this capital inflow coinciding with SOL’s price momentum rallying 40%. The massive purchase also comes as the Solana network hit a new milestone, surpassing 4.2 billion transactions throughout July 2026.

The wallet address’s transaction history on Solana over the past three years forms a solid foundation for the smart label from analysts. During that period, the wallet owner only opened buy-and-sell positions twice through SOL swing trades. In both previous cycles, the trader executed the exact same maneuver: accumulating at lows and selling everything at highs.

The results of those two previous trading positions generated solid returns. Total profit margins from the SOL swing trades reached $4.95 million. This week’s fresh capital deployment of $9.74 million officially ends the dormancy period, while ushering in the wallet’s third trading cycle.

What Is the Fate of 11 Million $FRIEND Tokens?

The precise entry of the Solana whale stands in stark contrast to the capital movements of Machi Big Brother, a prominent figure in crypto circles. While the SOL whale exercised patience, Machi racked up total losses exceeding $16 million from his open position in $FRIEND tokens. Previous records show Machi deployed up to 5,200 ETH, or roughly $16.7 million, to scoop up 11 million tokens of Web3 social platform Friendtech.

That massive investment has since depreciated drastically. Machi’s entire balance of 11 million tokens now carries a market valuation of just $500,000. Facing a near-worthless asset, he opted for a takeover route rather than cutting his losses on the open market.

$1 Million Offer as a Rescue Move

Machi submitted a $1 million cash offer to acquire Friendtech’s entire operations. The takeover proposal aims to relaunch the social app to revive user traction. On-chain data underscores his serious intent; records show he transferred his entire 11 million $FRIEND tokens to the lead developer’s wallet address five days ago.

The comparison between these two deep-pocketed wallets illustrates differing risk tolerances and high-stakes playbooks. One player was willing to sideline funds for two years without making a single transaction to catch Solana’s most rational movements. The other player is willing to pour in additional capital to take control of a company and safeguard a sinking multimillion-dollar investment.

This sequence of events offers tactical takeaways for everyday market participants. Blindly copying whale wallets poses perspective traps; whales can afford to sit through multi-year charts, or simply tap additional funds to buy an entire application when things go south.
