Binance Bakar 1,64 Juta BNB Senilai $1,19 Miliar - Pasokan Dipangkas Saat Pasar Altcoin Tertekan

Binance Burns 1.64 Million BNB Worth $1.19 Billion - Supply Cut as Altcoin Market Faces Pressure

Binance has burned 1.64 million BNB coins worth over $1.197 billion in its 37th quarterly burn. This valuation ranks the latest supply cut as one of the largest BNB quarterly burns in dollar terms in the history of Binance’s program.

However, this billion-dollar supply reduction comes against the backdrop of conflicting broader market trends.

How the 100 Million Coin Deflationary Mechanism Works

The BNB quarterly burn is a routine deflationary mechanism conducted by Binance to permanently reduce the circulating supply of BNB. Through this process, destroyed coins are permanently removed from circulation, ensuring the active supply of BNB in the market continuously declines with no option for recovery.

In practice, Binance burns BNB using a portion of the profits generated in the previous quarter. This supply reduction is designed to continue until the cumulative amount of burned coins reaches 100 million BNB. That 100-million-coin target represents roughly half of BNB’s original total supply of 200 million coins at launch.

One of the Largest Dollar Valuations in Burn History

The destruction of 1.64 million BNB in this 37th round posted a standout valuation surpassing $1.197 billion. This figure cements this quarter’s burn among the largest BNB quarterly burns by dollar value since Binance first introduced the coin destruction program.

Surpassing $1.19 billion, the massive dollar figure reflects the scale of prior-quarter profits allocated by Binance to cut market supply. Burning 1.64 million coins during this period also advances the circulating supply reduction toward the ultimate target of 100 million coins.

Altcoin Market Pressure Weighs on Price Action

This billion-dollar supply burn coincided with widespread price pressure across the broader altcoin market. The reduction in circulating coin supply did not immediately buoy BNB prices on trading desks.

According to recent market data, BNB’s price fell 3.3% over the past week. This weakness demonstrates that the impact of the supply cut ran head-on into sluggish altcoin market sentiment.

For market participants, the 37th quarterly burn presents two concurrent realities: Binance continues to slash supply toward half of its original issuance, while short-term BNB prices remain weighed down by broader altcoin market pressure.
