Strive Borong Bitcoin $81,5 Juta - Tapi Trik Terbitkan Saham Bikin Porsi Investor Cuma Naik 1,4%

Strive Buys $81.5 Million in Bitcoin - But Share Issuance Trick Limits Investor Portion Growth to 1.4%

Strive, a company co-founded by Vivek Ramaswamy in 2022, has purchased another 1,110 Bitcoin. The $81.5 million transaction was completed in phases over a five-day period between August 17 and 21, 2026. According to formal documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on August 24, the purchase was executed at an average price of $73,409 per coin - a figure that includes various fees and expenses.

This buying maneuver boosted the company’s digital reserve position. Their vault balance jumped from 20,246 coins to 21,356 BTC, bringing the total value of these holdings to approximately $1.7 billion at current prices.

However, the surge in assets on the company’s books carries financial consequences that directly pressure the value of each investor’s shares.

New Share Trick That Cuts Investor Portions

While Strive’s total Bitcoin holdings recorded a 5.5% increase, the portion of coins represented by each fully diluted share only ticked up by about 1.4%. This disparity occurred because management took a shortcut to raise capital: they minted millions of new shares to finance their crypto purchases.

All the funds to cover this Bitcoin bill were raised through at-the-market offerings. Via this route, management minted and sold new shares directly to investors on the exchange at current market prices. As a result, Strive’s outstanding Class A shares swelled by 4.8% with the addition of 3,646,300 shares, bringing the total to 79,890,888 shares.

At the same time, the company also released 441,313 shares under the ticker SATA - a perpetual preferred instrument. This new issuance boosted the number of preferred shares by 5.6%, surpassing 8,270,815 shares. Buying interest from investors was stable enough to absorb this new supply, as evidenced by SATA’s price remaining close to or slightly above its $100 par value throughout the offering period.

This tactic of raising money from the stock market resulted in a strange cash balance position. Strive closed August 21 with cash and cash equivalents of $171.9 million. This figure was actually higher than the cash balance of $154.8 million from a week earlier, even though management had just spent tens of millions of dollars to buy Bitcoin. The influx of cash from new share buyers proved substantial enough to fund the crypto transaction while adding a layer of daily liquidity for the company.

Where Does Strive Stand Now?

With holdings now reaching 21,356 BTC, Strive further strengthens its position in the mid-tier corporate competition. When measured on a global scale, these reserves still lag behind in the heating arena of institutional asset dominance.

For comparison, Japanese investment firm Metaplanet validated their second-quarter performance by purchasing 2,823 BTC. That accumulation action boosted Metaplanet’s total holdings to 43,000 BTC. At the peak of the hierarchy, software developer Strategy stands alone in the lead with asset holdings reaching 840,447 BTC.

For retail market participants who buy stock to gain exposure to crypto price movements without the hassle of managing digital wallet keys, Strive’s management move offers a stark reminder. The size of a company’s Bitcoin reserves does not automatically increase the share of ownership for retail investors. If the share printing machine continues to be used to cover every corporate crypto purchase transaction, the real value of stock investors’ returns will continue to be eroded through the trap of gradual percentage dilution.
