Strive announced the purchase of 469 Bitcoin worth $36.6 million at an average price of $77,954 per coin, bringing its total corporate holdings to exactly 25,000 BTC. The latest confirmation from CEO Matt Cole via the X platform marks an increase from the previous reporting round, when the company’s reserves stood at around 24,500 BTC.
All funds for the latest acquisition came purely from the Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock instrument, or SATA. Strive did not issue new common stock to cover the $36.6 million purchase. The financial maneuver focused on preferred shares pushed SATA’s outstanding notional value past the $1 billion mark for the first time.
How Does the Debt Burden Compare to Assets?
Purchases through preferred shares have a direct impact on the company’s liability metrics. Cole explained that Strive’s amplification ratio has now climbed to 53.5%. The ratio details the proportion of obligations: for every $100 worth of Bitcoin recorded on the company’s balance sheet, there is approximately $53.50 in outstanding obligations in the form of preferred stock accompanying it.
The purchase volume of 469 coins dropped sharply compared to the previous week’s record. Between August 31 and September 4, the company acquired 1,375 BTC worth $109 million at an average price of $79,281 per coin. That early-month spending was nearly three times larger than the latest acquisition that sealed the 25,000 BTC milestone.
15 Weeks Left to Chase Fourth Place
The 25,000-coin stack places Strive fifth on the list of the largest corporate Bitcoin holders. It remains behind Strategy, Twenty One Capital, Metaplanet, and MARA Holdings, which occupy the top four spots with significantly larger reserves.
Strive’s nearest target is Twenty One Capital. The Tether-backed firm holds 43,514 BTC. A gap of 18,515 coins separates Strive’s holdings from fourth place, a wide margin requiring a massive capital injection to close. With 15 weeks remaining on the 2026 calendar, SATA issuances worth trillions of rupiah will remain the deciding factor in whether the global top-five ranking will shift before year-end.
