Giant institutions are once again flexing their muscles in the Bitcoin market. According to on-chain data from @lookonchain, global asset manager BlackRock recorded net inflows for four consecutive days, absorbing 9,269 BTC, equivalent to $604 million. This massive accumulation occurred while Bitcoin was trading around the $64,950 level, marking an aggressive buying phase that is once again coloring price movements.
Amid BlackRock’s buying spree, another conspicuous transaction was caught on the radar. A newly created wallet withdrew 434.87 BTC worth $27.96 million from the Binance exchange in a single withdrawal - a pattern typical of institutional-grade whale accumulation. However, close to the time of that transaction, another party chose to take profits. The Royal Government of Bhutan sold 434.87 BTC worth $27.93 million, ending their inactivity of over a month.
Two Opposing Directions
Bhutan’s move adds to the growing list of their coin sales, which have reached a significant value throughout 2026. The coincidentally near-identical figures of the anonymous whale withdrawal and Bhutan’s sale paint a picture of two opposing poles in the current market: while large Western institutions are busy absorbing supply, governments in Asia are choosing to secure profits.
Insider Confidence at American Bitcoin
Buying sentiment is not only alive in the crypto market, but has also spread to mining company shares. Justin Mateen, a director of American Bitcoin (ABTC) who is also a co-founder of Tinder, spent $1.93 million to buy 306,981 shares of his own company. The transaction, conducted across two consecutive trading sessions, was executed right after the release of the second-quarter earnings report, boosting his Class A shareholdings to 492,297.
Mateen’s move seems to serve as a cushion for his company’s financial report in the red. The Nasdaq-listed mining company, backed by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., recorded a net loss of around $57 million in Q2. Despite the loss, their mining operations ran at full capacity. American Bitcoin mined 932 BTC during the quarter, their highest quarterly production record to date. This fresh mining output pushed their treasury holdings past 8,000 BTC.
Change of President
Amid the achievements in coin production and the capital injection from its own director, American Bitcoin is reorganizing its internal management. Matt Prusak stepped down as the company’s president to join Giga Energy. Although quarterly losses widened and leadership changed, this layered institutional appetite shows one thing: crypto assets released from government hands are immediately swallowed by corporate buyers who have no intention of giving up their footing anytime soon.
