Strive added 3,311 Bitcoin to its corporate treasury over the past week alone. CEO Matt Cole announced the acquisition on October 13, 2026, pushing the Nasdaq-listed firm’s total holdings from 29,462 BTC to 32,773 BTC. The @WatcherGuru account on X reported that the transaction was worth roughly $275 million.
The addition of 3,311 coins boosted Strive’s Bitcoin balance by roughly 11.2% from its previous position. The move marks one of Strive’s largest weekly acquisitions since it began building its crypto treasury in 2025. Interestingly, Strive management did not disclose either the total purchase cost or the average acquisition price in its official announcement. What is certain is that this rapid expansion was supported by capital rotation in the equity markets.
$208 Million Warrant Injection Ahead of Deadline
The capital influx into company coffers coincided with moves by warrant holders. Investors exercised $208 million worth of warrants just before the 5 p.m. ET expiration deadline on October 13. Ahead of that cutoff, approximately 15.3 million warrants remained outstanding.
Beyond the warrant exercises, Strive established a minimum issuance price threshold of $100 for SATA preferred shares in its official corporate filings. Issuing this instrument underpins Strive’s core strategy: maximizing Bitcoin holdings per share of common stock. However, this structure carries tangible market implications, as issuing new shares automatically expands the circulating share count.
Semler Merger and Accumulation Track Record Since 2025
Strive’s reserve surge past 32,773 BTC is the outcome of phased accumulation accelerated by corporate actions. In January 2026, Strive completed its merger with Semler Scientific. That transaction brought roughly 5,048 BTC owned by Semler onto Strive’s balance sheet, boosting total reserves at the time to about 12,798 BTC.
The pace of coin purchases persisted throughout the second half of the year. For context, in September 2025 Strive held 25,000 BTC after acquiring 469 BTC for around $36.6 million. Those reserves climbed to 27,462 BTC by September 27, then touched 29,462 BTC in early October before the latest 3,311 BTC purchase was announced.
For investors eyeing Strive shares, this strategy offers Bitcoin exposure without having to hold the asset directly. The real test lies in the per-share mathematics: whether management can consistently expand Bitcoin per share faster than the dilution rate resulting from fresh equity issuances.
