VanEck Tarik ETF Lido Staked Ether dari Meja SEC - Rencana Bagi Hasil Staking Batal Meluncur

VanEck Withdraws Lido Staked Ether ETF From SEC - Staking Yield Plans Scrapped

VanEck has officially filed to withdraw the registration of its Lido Staked Ether ETF trust with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Wednesday. The investment manager’s move halts plans to launch the product, which had been registered via a Form S-1 filing since October 16, 2025. In the regulatory disclosure document, VanEck Digital Assets stated that it does not intend to proceed with the planned distribution of shares of the trust.

Yet, the trust was designed to incorporate a component absent in regular spot Ethereum ETF products: staking yields.

The Scrapped Staking Yield Design

In its original design, the ETF product was intended to hold the liquid staking token Lido staked Ether (stETH) directly within the trust. This mechanism was designed to pass staking yields through to the trust’s shareholders. Through this structure, investors purchasing shares of the trust were initially projected to earn staking rewards from the Ethereum network without needing to buy stETH on crypto markets or run validators themselves.

The stETH reward-sharing scheme set VanEck apart from other asset managers. Spot Ethereum ETF products currently trading on U.S. exchanges only track the spot price of ETH without touching network validation rewards. VanEck’s plan to incorporate stETH was poised to be the first attempt to connect conventional capital market investors with the decentralized staking ecosystem and its yields.

Wednesday’s withdrawal decision ensures that all plans to distribute shares of the trust have ground to a halt. The withdrawal filing with the SEC puts an end to any prospect of the trust listing on public exchanges in the near future.

What Remains Undisclosed

VanEck did not specify the reasons behind its decision to withdraw the registration statement. In the disclosure document submitted to the SEC, the company also did not reveal the considerations underpinning the move, whether related to regulatory scrutiny or internal calculations by the investment manager.

A lack of detail also clouds the company’s future plans. In the same filing to the SEC, VanEck Digital Assets did not indicate whether it would file a replacement product with a different structure, or if it has completely closed the door on a stETH-based trust.

For institutional investors awaiting crypto investment vehicles with integrated yields, the withdrawal of the S-1 filing sends a clear signal: the gateway to public exchanges for yield-generating staking products remains firmly shut.
